These stereo microscopes are configured with varying stands depending on the user's application. For instance, an articulating arm stand is useful to view hard to reach surface areas that require the user to angle or to get under the specimen. Also, larger specimens can be viewed using an articulating or boom stand . A pole or track stand is used for smaller specimens that do not require too much maneuvering. Fiber optic, fluorescence and LED illumination can be attached or sit free standing to any configuration.
