US & International Customers
Most orders ship within 72 hours from one of our US or international warehouses. Special orders may take from 2-3 weeks or longer depending on the manufacturer. All orders (except international/special orders) may be returned for a full refund (less shipping) if they do not fully meet your expectations upon arrival. Please contact us within the first 72 hours upon arrival for an RMA (return authorization number). Please return in its original packaging (and condition) for a complete refund less shipping charges. All orders returned after seven (7) days are subject to a 20% restocking fee (shipping time is not included). Please contact us if you would like an extension, otherwise, terms stand. Returns are only accepted during the first thirty (30) days with a minimum 20% restocking fee, depending on the condition and up to the discretion of New York Microscope Company. Under special circumstances, returns may be accepted after 30 days with a minimum of a 25% restocking fee. Reticles/Micrometers and Specialty Counting Chambers are nonrefundable once opened. Leica & Motic Microscopes, ProgRes, and Motic digital cameras are subject to a restocking fee and may be non-refundable depending on the camera ordered. Special orders including many parts, components, accessories orders online, called in or through a purchase order are subject to restocking fees if canceled. Please contact us for more details. Any product/item returned is subject to inspection and possible restocking fee. If received damaged and beyond repair, the product/item will not be refundable. Most items are shipped signature required unless requested otherwise.
If the incorrect product(s) was sent or the product was received defective/damaged customer must notify New York Microscope immediately and no more than three days upon receipt via email or phone. We will determine if the shipper/carrier needs to be notified to file a claim and follow their procedure. If no shipping claim is required, please contact us to arrange for the pick up. Upon receipt and inspection by our service technicians and/or manufacturer a replacement will be sent at no cost to the customer if deemed the customer received the product(s) defective or damaged. All Bank Wire Transfers are non-refundable.
All International Orders and Special Orders
Custom orders and special orders outside of our product line are final sales, non-returnable. Please inquire within if you have any questions. If the incorrect product(s) was sent or the product was received defective/damaged, the customer must notify us no more than three days upon receipt. We will notify the shipper/carrier if a claim needs to be filed. If no shipping claim is required then it is the customer's responsibility to cover the return shipment to our location. Upon receipt and inspection by our service technicians and/or the manufacturer, if deemed the customer received the product(s) defective or damaged then a replacement will be sent at no cost to the customer.
Please note: all Customs, Duties, Import Taxes, Vats, etc. are the customer's responsibility.
Some accessories (are considered special order and) may not be returnable. Please inquire prior to ordering. As always, keep original packaging to avoid restocking fees or the possibility to return within 7 days.
All new microscopes carry the complete manufacturers' warranty of five years plus one free extended year. Reconditioned Microscopes are warrantied for one year.
We reserve the right to change all prices without notice. Substitutions may be offered for items we are out of stock and of course with prior approval. We are not responsible for typographical errors, some pictures may not be representative of the item for sale, please refer to the description. We works tirelessly to ensure the accuracy of the information in our website. We are not responsible for vendor availability, typographical errors, technical inaccuracies, product pricing errors, or omissions. New York Microscope Company has the right to cancel any orders placed for any product listed at an incorrect price or shown with incorrect information, whether due to a typographical error (vendor error) or otherwise and whether or not your order was accepted or your credit card charged. Upon any such cancellation, if your credit card has already been charged for the purchase, we will promptly issue a full credit to your account. In most instances, we will offer an additional discount for any inconvenience. Thank you for understanding.
Have confidence and peace of mind by placing your order online via our secure website. Email, fax, telephone and mail orders are gladly accepted. For your safety and security, we encrypt all customer information and transmit all orders using a fully secure online ordering form. We accept purchase orders from businesses, schools, hospitals, laboratories, and any government agencies or municipalities. Our terms of payment for US customers and our neighbors are by purchase order, bank wire transfer or credit cards; American Express, Visa, and MasterCard are gladly accepted. Some exceptions apply to our neighboring friends and countries. For our international customers, prepayment is required by bank wire transfer or through PayPal when authorized. A 3% credit card fee may be applied to all International Orders depending on the product at the time of purchase. All international order will be shipped to the billing address of the credit card or Paypal confirmed addresses. All customs fees, taxes, and duties are the sole responsibility of the buyer. All orders are fully insured. Shipping charges vary depending on weight and location. Our organization can accommodate any size order including bulk and international bidding and contact us for quantity discounts.
Microscope Service and Repair
One Year warranty on mechanical, optical and electrical repairs.
New York Microscope Company is not responsible for any microscope(s)/parts/equipment left in our shop facility after 120 days if customer refuses to pay for repair, estimate or return shipping or does not respond to our attempts to advise estimate. (We have the right to dispose or keep all shop repair left unclaimed for over 120 days).
Shipping & Returns
Free UPS ground shipping applies to most special promotion/holiday orders over $ 199.00 and up (multiple item orders must be shipped complete to one destination, otherwise additional shipping charges will apply.) and only applies to orders shipped to a valid address in the continental United States, Shipping charges will be added to any order placed outside of the United States. If expedited shipping is requested, (next day, 2nd or 3rd day) then the full amount of shipping will apply.
Customers returning merchandise for a refund, originally shipped via the free shipping promotion, may be responsible for all actual shipping costs incurred during the original transaction.
All Scalar DG-3x portable digital microscopes and accessories are non-returnable.
All of the Steindorff® Digital LCD Microscopes and Steindorff® Specialty Microscopes are made to order. Please allow approximately 6 - 8 weeks for delivery. Earlier delivery may be possible. All Steindorff® Digital LCD and Specialty Microscopes are final sales, and may not be canceled or returned.
Some Steindorff microscopes are non-returnable, see product page for details.
All Motic, Swift, Jenoptik/ProGres, Leica & Mitutoyo products are non-returnable.
All OPTIKA microscopes and accessories are non-returnable.
Microscope Camera Couplers are special order and non-returnable.
Some Leica Microscopes and specially configured microscopes are special order and are non-returnable.
Some micrometers/reticles, slider micrometers/stage micrometers and specialty counting chambers may not be returnable. Restocking fees may apply due to the sensitive nature of the glass and likelihood of scratches.
All products sent for evaluation are subjected to a minimum 20% restocking fee if the item is not returned within one week upon receiving the product(s). Please contact us if a longer evaluation period is required, Please contact us for an RMA number to return the product to the manufacturer to directly to our location. All products MUST be returned in original packaging and in the same new salable condition as received, otherwise, additional restocking fees may apply. The customer is responsible for all shipping charges.
