Explore Carl Zeiss microscopes' cutting-edge technology and precision. These quality microscopes are available as reconditioned and antique models with monocular, binocular, or trinocular viewing heads. The Carl Zeiss brand has always been focused on innovation and precise measurements, which has made the company one of the largest optical product manufacturers in the world. The quality of their microscopes made them an industry leader for over 100 years, and we're so excited to offer the company's products at the most competitive prices.

Carl Zeiss was born in September of 1816 and opened his first workshop in 1846. It was located in Jena, Germany, and produced all kinds of optical instruments, though he steadily started to focus more and more on microscopes. Before long, he was selling his instruments to customers worldwide, having become a highly respected businessman and innovator.

The oldest microscope we have from Carl Zeiss is the antique No. 37462 Jena Monocular Microscope, featuring three different objectives, a triple nosepiece, and the product/company name engraved on the surface of the eyepiece. It's a great piece to have just for cosmetics if you're a collector of antiques, but it also functions well as a microscope, extending its value beyond its visual appeal.

The only binocular microscope we sell from this brand is the reconditioned KF2, with four objectives and a built-in light source with variable light intensities. Meanwhile, we have two different trinocular Carl Zeiss microscopes, including the Aciostar Plus and the Standard Metallurgical Microscope. They have different objectives and illuminations; the Aciostar Plus has three objectives (10x, 40x, 100x) and 6V 20W halogen illumination, while the Standard Metallurgical Microscope has four objectives (4x, 8x, 16x, 40x) and a 6V 15W tungsten illumination.
