This is microscope was manufactured in Berlin, Germany by Richard. Holz. All of the parts appear to be original. There is a 10x eyepiece and one brass objective lens marked 2/3, height of the microscope is approx. 10", the diameter of the base is approx. 4" wide. Two brass fitted stage clips are included. There is an iris diaphragm below the platform. A mirror 1 1/2 " in diameter is mounted on a swivel joint. There is a screw missing from the one coarse adjustment knob that is fully functional. Richard Holz was a manufacture of German optical components during WWII. Richard Holz is listed in the Germany Mikroskop Museum on the web at www.mikroskop-museum.de/holz.htm. This microscope is in good condition considering its age, estimated to be manufactured around 1920.
