Orders and Shipping
Most in-stock orders ship within 72 hours from our US or international warehouses. Special orders may take 2–3 weeks or longer, depending on the manufacturer. All orders are insured for loss and damage in transit. Shipping charges vary by weight and destination.
Delivery Signature
Orders over $1,000 ship signature required unless you opt out at checkout. Orders of $1,000 or less ship without a signature unless you select “Require signature on delivery” at checkout. If you opt out of signature on delivery, or do not select it, the carrier may leave the package at the delivery address, and you accept full responsibility for loss, theft or damage after the carrier records the package as delivered. Shipping insurance does not cover packages lost or stolen after an unsigned delivery.
Returns
Returns, cancellations, shipping damage and defects are governed by our Return Policy (microscopeinternational.com/return-policy), which is part of these Terms.
Warranty
New microscopes carry the full manufacturer’s warranty plus one additional year from New York
Microscope Company. Reconditioned microscopes carry a one-year warranty.
Pricing
Quotes are valid for 30 days. If new or increased import tariffs take effect before an order ships, we will notify you of any price change before shipping, and you may cancel that order without charge. We may cancel an order placed at a price or description that was listed in error, whether or not the order was accepted or charged; any payment already made will be refunded in full. Substitutions for out-of-stock items are made only with your approval.
Payment
We accept purchase orders from businesses, schools, hospitals, laboratories and government agencies. US customers may pay by purchase order, ACH, bank wire, or American Express, Visa or MasterCard. A 3.5% admin fee applies to credit card payments. ACH payments have no fee. International orders require prepayment by bank wire or, when authorized, PayPal, and ship to the billing address of the card or the confirmed PayPal address. Bank wire fees and credit card admin fees are non-refundable.
Taxes
The customer pays all applicable taxes unless a valid exemption certificate is provided. International customers are responsible for all customs duties, import fees and taxes.
