Modular stereo microscopes give you the most flexibility when choosing a stereo microscope for your budget or desired application. All you have to do is select the type of stand (plain focus or articulating arm), illumination (LED, halogen, or none), viewing head (binocular or trinocular to accommodate a digital camera), and eyepieces (10x, 15x, or 20x). Accessories like external illuminators, polarizers, and auxiliary/supplemental lenses are also available for further customization. Modular stereo microscopes allow you to modify almost every part of the system to your liking. Our most popular models come from brands like ACCU-SCOPE, Meiji Techno, and LW Scientific.
The ACCU-SCOPE 3079-LED Trinocular Microscope from the 3078 Zoom Stereo Microscope Series incorporates a newly designed optical system that provides sharp, high resolution, 3-dimensional images. The 3078 Series also features ergonomic, modular designs that make it ideal for university and industrial applications. The 3079-LED is versatile, with a large number of mounting options that can be configured to meet almost any need. The best part about this microscope is that it’s economically priced, so you get a lot of great features without having to spend a lot of money.
The Meiji EMZ-8TR Trinocular Zoom Stereo Microscope is designed to display high-contrast images, thanks to its Greenough optics. The LED illumination doesn’t add external stress to the specimen since there isn’t any heat directly applied to the specimen. Choose from a binocular or trinocular head that rotates 360 degrees.
The LW Scientific Z4 Embryo-GLO Stereo Microscope is the perfect choice for professionals who perform embryo transfers. It magnifies from 7x to 45x so that embryos can be viewed in high-resolution, three-dimensional images; the 10x eyepieces even include a reticle for checking embryo size. Magnification can be increased by upgrading with 15x eyepieces, but most embryo transfer doctors find that 45x is the ideal magnification.
