This allows the holder to be moved up or down to accommodate a wide range of working distances,specimen sizes and makes it easy to change holders. Pole stands are available many different formats that offer built-in illumination and other options.

This system is comprised of a EMX-1 turret stereo body with 0.5x and 1x objectives, 10x eyepieces and PX stand. The PX stand is a pole type stand with focusing slide block, illuminator port, reversible white & black stage plate, two stage clips and 10" pillar. This system provides a working distance of 225mm and is ideal when extra long working distance is required. The magnification range of this configured system is 5x & 10x.
