This setup is commonly used for embryo transfer. It consists of a binocular zoom body with 0.7x to 4.5x objectives, wide field 10x eyepieces, BD stand with focusing block and two illumination ports (incident and transmitted) that has a rotatable mirror in base for pseudo darkfield illumination. There are several customized configurations available however we are recommending the one with fiber optic illumination as it yields the best results. With this system both incident and or transmitted light light can be used. A number of auxiliary lens are available for upgrades on this system. The optics on this microscope are outstanding, included is a manufactures lifetime warranty.

Zoom optics provide maximum flexibility in sizing and imaging the embryo while 150 watt fiber optic lighting provides adjustable, powerful illumination. Since the light source is physically away from the embryo, the technician is free to control the process temperature without fear of powerful illumination "cooking" the specimens.

BD Stand External illuminated pole stand with "FX" focusing holder and integrated incident and transmitted light illuminator ports only, no light source is included. The transmitted light base includes a fully rotatable mirror for brightfield or pseudo-darkfield work. The 25mm illuminator ports can accept versatile illuminators like our MA264 or MA264H or fiber optic light source with light pipe and lens. Supplied with 94.5mm diameter clear glass stage plate and two stage clips.
The BD Pole Stand (pictured to the right) has a port built into the focus block for cool, incident lighting and features rugged cast alloy construction affording stable operation. The integrated front surface mirror is rotatable thus allowing angled light from below. Sometimes referred to as "pseudo-darkfield", the BD Pole Stand produces extremely useful contrast for embryo work.
